In more detail, Maria Menounos wrote:

"Celebrating St Nectarios today on his name day. On November 9, the Greek Orthodox Church commemorates Agios Nectarios, the Wonderworker of Aegina. He is considered the Patron Saint for people who have cancer, heart trouble, arthritis, epilepsy, and other diseases. He’s been granting miracles for all who believe in him regardless of their religion including me and my loved ones and i am so grateful!! my trip to Aegina meant so much to me and I continue to hold him close to my heart."

Maria Menounos has shared details about the difficult times she experienced when she was faced with cancer. Recently, she revealed the strange symptom that led her to the diagnosis of one of the most dangerous forms of cancer.

The 45-year-old presenter began to have unbearable pain and swelling as if an explosion was taking place inside her. Once, on a flight, after eating a salad with oatmeal and vegetables, the symptoms were so intense that he decided to look it up.

Doctors initially dismissed the symptoms of bloating, and then she went to the hospital where she had an ultrasound where doctors found her to have stage two pancreatic cancer.

Menounos, who at the time was expecting her daughter Athena to be born via surrogate, underwent surgery to remove a 3.81 cm tumour. As she informed me, the cancer is in remission.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancer in America, with only one in ten patients surviving more than a year after diagnosis.

Menounos, who has 1.1 million followers on Instagram, said today that her case highlights the need not to ignore symptoms, even when doctors dismiss them.
