On Monday, early morning, the Christmas tree set up in Athens was 17 metres high as a reminder that the holidays are approaching.
The tree's base weighs 25 tons, while 24,000 low-consumption bulbs were placed on top of the fir tree. The tree weighs about 5.5 tons and is expected to attract the attention of the people passing through the centre of Athens in front of the Parliament.
The point is that this imposing tree will finally bring a new aura to the place and society...
This year, the city's decoration coincides with the change in the mayoral office, although yet to be formally and officially.
Athens is decorated from end to end and prepares to be "flooded" with glitter and light.
Christmas, the most beautiful time of the year, is approaching.
Young and old, we are counting down!
