Greek Australians Make Waves in Upscale Bellevue Hill Real Estate Boom

During her brief ownership of a prestigious Bellevue Hill property, Paula Liveris discovered the advantages of considering unsolicited offers. Only six months after securing her $25 million designer home, a buyer approached her with an enticing $27 million proposal, resulting in a substantial $2 million capital gain.

In the meantime, Liveris has already relocated to a new $28 million house nearby, creating space for future plans involving the demolition and reconstruction of her former property.

Following the lucrative real estate trend in Bellevue Hill, interior designer Poppy O’Neil and freight heir Anthony Tzaneros have revamped their $7.45 million two-storey house into a glamorous five-bedroom residence, now listed at approximately $18 million. The property was listed on realestate.com.au on November 17, with a $17-18 million guide.

Greek Australians Daniel Contos, 33, and his partner Georgia Moore, 32, renowned for their acquisitions of high-value homes, expanded their portfolio with a fourth property. Acquired for $26 million in May as a turnkey investment, their latest off-market purchase was confirmed by a caveat lodged on the title earlier this week. The couple have found wild success since launching White Fox Boutique in 2013.

Contos and Moore both made their individual debuts on the Australian Financial Review’s Young Rich List this year, ranking 62 and 63 on the list with a combined estimated worth of $100 million.

White Fox Boutique’s annual turnover is not disclosed in public records.

The couple started selling clothes on eBay in 2013 when they were in their early twenties, offering the latest fashion trends at affordable prices.

They have previously said the main driver of their success was their popularity on social media.

“I was working a full-time job so I had no idea that it was going to be as big as it is now or be recognised by a lot of people I meet,” Georgia Contos previously told Daily Mail Australia.

“I didn’t have any money when I started the business, so if we weren’t using Instagram, I don’t think it would have grown as big as it has.”

The couple made headlines by securing their fourth mansion in Sydney’s upscale Vaucluse suburb, investing a total of $120 million. The property, previously owned by commercial property investors Wang and Zhang, who acquired it in 2017 for $8.3 million, was not publicly disclosed by the involved agents. However, sources suggest that Simon Cohen, the chief of Cohen Handler buyer’s agency, facilitated the transaction.

The Bellevue Hill market, reflecting a notable 13.2 per cent increase in median house prices to $8.6 million, continues to attract high-profile homeowners.
