Police officers arrested a 31-year-old Turkish man in the centre of Athens, as an international warrant was pending against him from Interpol.
The police officers were on patrol yesterday when they passed through Treiber Square at around 2:00 p.m. and spotted the 31-year-old, who seemed suspicious to them and wanted to check on him.
When checking his information, they found that he had an international arrest warrant pending against him from Interpol for distinguished theft cases, Iefimerida reported.
An Immediate Action patrol car was informed, and he was immediately brought to the Omonia security department, where he was arrested.
