TAYLOR SWIFT: The Person of the Year at the premiere of Yorgos Lanthimos' film "Poor Things"

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift, Times magazine Person of the Year, attended the premiere of the film Poor Things by Yorgos Lanthimos, which took place yesterday in New York.

The public spotted the 33-year-old superstar leaving the premiere with friends Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse.

Swift, who maintains a very good relationship with the star of the film Emma Stone, seems to have "holed up" at the premiere in order not to create a crowd outside the DGA Theater, as happened in the summer at the party before Margaret Qualley's wedding to Jack Antonoff.

The 12-time Grammy Award-winning star opted to wear a black maxi dress, which she teamed with a stunning wool coat, a matte gold metallic rectangular clutch with embellished detailing, and a pair of black high heels.

We don't know if she liked the movie, but if she does, all the Swifties in the world will rush to the theatres to see it.

Filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and his star, Emma Stone, have a good and strange thing going whether she’s playing a striving scullery maid who works her way into the favor of Queen Anne, or a re-animated Victorian woman finding independence. Stone helps make his black humor more accessible, and he creates unorthodox opportunities for her to play and stretch.

“Poor Things” was not a whole cloth invention. It is an adaptation of Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel, done by “The Favourite” screenwriter Tony McNamara whose edges and wit haven’t dulled and in fact flourishes outside the cruelty of the previous film. Don’t worry, the humor is plenty dark here, but self-actualization looks good on them.
