Zeta Makripoulia and Michalis Hatzigiannis, the Former Deputy Minister of Culture of Cyprus, are not among those ex-couples who avoid each other after a breakup. In fact, the opposite is true.

Recently, Zeta Makripoulia attended a concert by her former partner, to the surprise of many. However, Michalis Hatzigiannis himself was not surprised.

In an interview with OK magazine, the renowned singer spoke about his relationship with Zeta Makripoulia after their separation.

“We had created this fairytale with a happy ending,” he said. “People used to say that you and Zeta would be together forever. We weren’t happy with how it ended.”

(Laughs)

“I hope I didn’t upset you too much. Every parting, no matter how painless and bloodless it is, no matter how much the cycle closes without any quarrels or arguments…”

“…still causes pain. It has to.”

“After all these years, it can’t end without pain. Pain is a stage you have to go through. It takes courage to make that decision, to say that you need a renewal, a distance, or a definitive end. The pain follows you for a while. And I think that feeling went both ways.”

“On the other hand, it was very nice to see her in the audience at your recent concert. You realize that the love is still there.”

“This feeling hasn’t stopped, nor will it ever stop. Something that had substance and is a big part of my life doesn’t disappear just like that. It’s a great pleasure for me when Zeta comes to my concerts. It doesn’t surprise me because our relationship and mutual love are completely healthy.”
