Adverse Weather Conditions Disrupt Ship Itineraries in the Aegean Sea

Strong east-northeast winds are blowing in many sea areas of the Aegean, reaching 9 Beaufort in some places according to the EMY. As a result, most ship itineraries remain unfulfilled.

Sailing is prohibited from the ports of Piraeus, Rafina, and Lavrio. The routes Ag. Marina-Nea Styra, Arkitsa-Edipsos, Volos-Sporades, Kavala-Prinos, and Alexandroupolis-Samothraki are also closed. Passengers planning to travel in the next few hours should contact the local port authorities and tourist agencies for any changes or modifications to their itineraries due to the adverse weather conditions.
