According to the Jerusalem Post, Shaul Greenglick, 26, appeared on TV on December 3 while on leave from his mobilisation in Israel's war against Hamas, and dressed in a military uniform, he sang a popular ballad and was accepted into the next round of the Eurovision 2024 selection process.

One of the judges, Keren Peles, told Greenglick on the stage: "I'm happy to see you wearing a uniform, because it's reassuring that someone like you is in uniform. I would be happy to see you representing Israel at Eurovision."
