Health Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis has ordered a sworn administrative inquiry into a video that circulated on social media allegedly showing celebrations with music in a corridor of the Red Cross General Hospital in Athens.
The inquiry will be led by the director of the Ippokrateio Hospital.
In the video, four individuals can be seen dancing to live music performed by a two-member band while porters lead a patient on a stretcher through the area.
The video’s contents have sparked outrage on social media and have also drawn criticism from opposition MPs.
The party, reportedly held on December 20, was allegedly organized by the hospital’s director.
