Greece: 430,000 kilometres turned back on a car odometer - Watch the video

Another used car buyer found that the actual mileage did not match what was displayed. However, this case is the absolute audaciousness of a pretentious seller.

News Auto has been leading the fight against some rogue dealers' deception of used car buyers.

In addition to the obvious deception they do (see the video below) to their customer, they tarnish the rest of the vehicle trading industry, most of which work with honesty and ethics.

The video released by a TikTok account says it all.

In a check on this particular car, the actual kilometres that the history cross-checking program came up with are almost 654,000, while the odometer shows 227,000 kilometres!

The Greek authorities are trying to combat this phenomenon in various ways...

On September 26, 2019, for example, the government, through a Ministerial Decision, decided on an important change: when it was found that the inspected vehicle had been falsified in the mileage, the inspection was stopped, and the owner had an obligation to correct the odometer within 20 days and then had to come back for a recheck.

The owner of the above car will also have to do this, losing a lot of money from its value...
