As stated in a related announcement, at the conference, participants from six countries will jointly analyse, with Sophia the robot, important aspects related to the coexistence of humans and Artificial Intelligence.
In particular, the “Meet Sophia Conference” will occur on March 10 at the Nafpaktos International Conference Centre, which is co-located with the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of Sotiros in Skala Nafpaktia.
At the same time, the conference will explore the effect of Artificial Intelligence on ethical issues, from protecting privacy to safeguarding justice and the values of the human species.
Techno-ethics is a branch of Applied Philosophy and a field of interdisciplinary study and research, with the main subject being the relationship between technological development and the values of modern society.
The event will take place in the presence of 150 guests, and there will be no access to the general public.
Sophia is a social humanoid robot developed by the Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics, while Victorious Network holds its rights for Greece.
It was activated on February 14, 2016, and made its first public appearance in mid-March 2016. It has met with heads of state and important personalities and has also given interviews to the world’s biggest television networks.
