The video takes us back to 1994, when Stelios Haji-Ioannou, at the age of 27, made a business trip to the Boeing company's offices in the United States, with a low-cost airline, staying in a budget hotel for the first time.

This trip gave rise to the idea of ​​expanding the brand. That is, the same brand can be used in both companies: airline and hotel chain!

A few months later, Sir Stelios chose "easy" as the main acronym, which would become the trademark of his companies. It is worth mentioning that until then would be called stelAir, from the abbreviation of his own name Stel and his shipping company called stelMar.

Thirty years later, remains the best-known brand, which is confirmed by the numbers, since the company has carried more than 1.1 billion passengers since its inception.
