Maria Farantouri and Iota Nega chose to perform a collection of the most beautiful songs of Greek cinema together.
On January 30th, they will be on the PALLAS stage for the first time in a program with songs written by leading lyricists and composers accompanying unforgettable movie moments, songs that have acquired their independent path outside the movie theatres.
In the show prepared with love and care by the two performers, choosing from an extensive collection, we will hear songs by Mikis Theodorakis, Mimi Plessas, Takis Morakis, Kostas Giannidis, Stavros Xarhakos, Eleni Karaindros, Stamatis Kraunakis, by Evanthia Reboutsikas and others, pieces that touched us emotionally and move us forever for their melodic richness and lyrical imagination. Eight excellent soloists who will accompany the performers contribute to the final result.
The performance of Maria Farantouri and Iota Nega winks at all cinephiles, summer cinema patrons, lovers of black and white stories of the good old Greek cinema, lovers of newer cinema and contemporary creators and certainly, his numerous friend's good Greek songs.
Black and white and coloured dreams meet on the Pallas stage to sing together, joining our voices for one night with those of Maria Farantouri and Iota Nega.
