Everything changes on the train from Faliro to Piraeus port

The first positive step for the project is to improve rail transport in the Municipality of Piraeus

The issue of the undergrounding of the ISAP lines, from the station of Neo Faliros to the largest port of the country, was raised in the recent meeting of Christos Staikouras with the Mayor of Piraeus, Yannis Moralis.

In the meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in which the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Sustainable Development Dimitris Karydis also participated, the issues of the Municipality of Piraeus concerning the Ministry were discussed.

The Mayor of Piraeus, Yiannis Moralis, in his statement, emphasised: "I met with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras, together with the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Dimitris Karydis."

"During our discussion, we raised all the issues of the Municipality of Piraeus that concern the Ministry, as well as issues for easier access to the country's major port for millions of travellers every year, such as the perennial request for the undergrounding of the ISAP lines from the Neo Faliro to the Port.

"It was an absolutely useful and positive meeting, and there was a commitment from the Minister so that there would be a similar continuity in our cooperation."
