The farmers in Kozani are hardening their stance and, at noon on Sunday, occupied the outside areas of the Region of Western Macedonia building.
The farmers, as reported by Kozani Media, ignoring the rainfall in the area, threw hay and manure outside the Region of Western Macedonia building as a sign of protest and called on the government to accept their demands.
In fact, the farmers set up a roadblock with about 40 tractors in the Active Urbanisation Zone (ZEP) of Kozani.

SYRIZA leader Kasselakis expresses support for farmers' demands
Stefanos Kasselakis, the leader of main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, on Friday expressed his support for the demands of the farmers.
During an interview with TRT Thessaly television, he underlined that the farmers' demands are entirely justified and fair. Kasselakis also reiterated SYRIZA's proposals to aid farmers, which include abolishing the special tax on fuels and launching flood protection initiatives.
Nevertheless, he underscored the importance of implementing sustainable, long-term measures.
