Zefyri: Pakistani man arrested for sexually abusing 13-year-old boy with autism

The man, knowing the child's interest in skates and on the pretext of giving him one, took him to his house and sexually assaulted him

Police in Zefyri, Attica, arrested a 42-year-old Pakistani man for sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy with autism.

The 42-year-old, knowing the child's strong interest in skates and under the pretext of giving him one, drove him late at noon on Friday, February 9, to his home, where he sexually abused him.

Police were notified of the crime after the teenager spoke to his mother.

The Athens District Attorney brought criminal charges against the Pakistani for abuse of a person incapable of resisting sexual intercourse and sexual acts with a minor under the age of 12, referring the case for investigation to the 18th Investigative Department of the Athens Court of First Instance, from where he was ordered to be brought back on Monday February 12 at 10:30.

The police announcement:

A 42-year-old migrant was arrested in the evening hours of 9-2-2024 by police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Attica Security Directorate, accused of abusing a person unable to resist in a sexual act and sexual acts with a minor who turned 12 years old.

The 42-year-old, knowing the boy's intense interest in skates resulting from his developmental difficulty, under the pretext of giving him skates, drove him inside his house at noon on 9-2-2024 and carried out the above criminal acts.

After the complaint of the minor's mother, police officers of the Zefyri Security Department with the assistance of Crime Prevention and Suppression Team (OPKE) police officers immobilised him outside his house.

The arrested person was taken to the Athens District Attorney.
