One person is dead, and nine are injured after a shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, following the parade and rally celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, according to the Kansas City Fire Department.
A Kansas City DJ and mother-of-two has been named as a victim involved in the Kansas City Super Bowl parade shooting, which saw 22 shots.
The Kansas City Star first reported that Lisa Lopez-Galvan died in the shooting on Wednesday.
Close friends confirmed to the outlet that Lopez-Galvan died during surgery at a hospital for a gunshot wound to her abdomen.
Police said that 22 people were injured in the shooting which included nine children, with one person dying. It is unclear whether Lopez-Galvan is that individual.

A friend of Lopez-Galvan, Lisa Lopez, told the outlet: ‘She was the most wonderful, beautiful person.
‘She was a local DJ. She did everybody’s weddings. We all know her. She was so full of life.’
The Star reported that Lopez-Galvan was married with two children and worked as a DJ for a community radio station.
She had co-hosted the ‘Taste of Tejano,’ which featured Hispanic music, alongside her brother Beto Lopez.
The latest update from the Taste of Tejano Facebook page said: ‘Friends and family. Please keep our Lisa and the Lopez family in your prayers.’
Since news of her death, friends and family have started paying tribute to Lopez-Galvan on social media.
One post said: ‘With a heavy heart we say good bye to our beautiful cousin Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
‘Your senseless death at today’s KC parade has left us in shock and with a huge void in our hearts. Rest in Peace dear Lisa, we’ll miss you. Until we see you again.’
