Turkish media: 4 terrorists crossed the Evros into Turkey - Weapons and explosives found

According to Turkish media, terrorists wanted to target the Turkish parliament, the interior ministry and other targets in the Turkish capital.

In its full-page article, the pro-government newspaper Hürriyet refers to an operation that took place on October 30, 2023, in Evros, during which four terrorists of the communist Revolutionary People's Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C) organisation were killed, who tried to cross into Turkey.

According to the newspaper, as reported from Istanbul by Manolis Kostidis for SKAI, the four were killed in an armed conflict.

They were found to have explosives and weapons on them and aimed to hit the Turkish parliament, the interior ministry and other targets inside the Turkish capital.

According to the publication, the terrorists had been trained on European soil without specifying where.
