Greek Soldiers Injured in Cyprus Military Exercise

Two Greek soldiers (Eldyk) serving in Cyprus were injured during a training exercise in Stavrovouni, according to the Greek Defence Ministry. The ministry has called for authorities to investigate the incident.

The two soldiers were injured in an explosion that occurred after a grenade was thrown. Both soldiers were taken to the hospital, where doctors discovered various injuries from shrapnel launched by the grenade. Although their condition is serious, doctors have determined that it is not life threatening and both soldiers are being kept under monitoring.
