The recipe for Constantinople-style "politika" keftedakia (meatballs) is by Mrs. Katina tis Politissa, which definitely had semolina in their ingredients!
Materials for four servings:
500 gr. ground beef
100 gr. oatmeal, soaked
2 onions, grated
1 bunch mint, chopped
1 tsp. sweet cumin
1 large egg
2 tsp. of olive oil
1 tsp. tablespoons vinegar or red wine
flour for frying
olive oil for frying
salt, black pepper
Procedure
Step 1: Put all the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl, knead the minced meat and leave it aside for 10'. Shape and flour the meatballs. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the meatballs on both sides until they turn brown.
Step 2: Place them on absorbent paper for a few minutes and serve hot. We can also bake the meatballs in the oven at 200°C for 25 minutes, omitting the flour.
