Twenty-five whole years after their first appearance in Greece at Rockwave in 1999, in Agios Kosmas and several visits in between, Placebo are returning to Athens to give a concert on Thursday, August 1st, at the Lycabettus Hill Theater.
The British alternative rock band continues its successful, global musical journey unabated, converting more and more loyal fans with their big hits and explosive stage presence.
Placebo consists of Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, who, as classmates at the American International School of Luxembourg, did not hang out but luckily reconsidered in 1994 when they met by chance in London.
Over the next 30 years, they released eight studio albums, nine compilation albums, one MTV Unplugged and one live box set, sold more than 14 million records, played countless concerts around the world and collaborated with some of their heroes such as David Bowie, the Pixies, Robert Smith, Michael Stipe and PJ Harvey.
