Zelensky: Me and Greek Prime Minister were only 300 metres away from Russian missiles attack

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed harrowing details of a ballistic missile attack that occurred during an official visit to the port of Odessa with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In a recent exclusive interview with Italian public television Rai, Zelensky, accompanied by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, recounted the alarming incident where a missile struck just 300 meters away from their location.

The Ukrainian leader underscored the severity of the situation, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the intended target of the attack. "It is difficult to ascertain whom they wanted to target," Zelensky expressed, reflecting on the chaos and danger they faced during the assault.

Moreover, Zelensky revealed startling revelations regarding assassination attempts orchestrated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Ukrainian intelligence services, Putin had allegedly attempted to assassinate Zelensky on more than ten occasions. Despite the frequency of these attempts, Zelensky maintained uncertainty about the precise number, emphasizing the ongoing threats faced by himself and his government.

Addressing concerns about international support for Ukraine, Zelensky conveyed a clear message to those who remain indifferent or supportive of Russia. "Anyone who does not support Ukraine automatically supports Russia and does not understand who Putin is," he declared, urging solidarity against Russian aggression.

Furthermore, Zelensky emphasized the critical need for diverse military supplies to counter Russian forces effectively. He pledged not to utilise German long-range missiles against any party except in the context of reclaiming Ukrainian territory currently under occupation. Zelensky stressed the importance of adequate weaponry in altering the course of the ongoing conflict, asserting Ukraine's determination to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens.
