A startling scene unfolded at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens on Wednesday morning as workers and patients found several floors inundated with hot water. The incident occurred in the hospital's new facility, which underwent construction and was completed two years ago.
Hospital personnel were quick to detect the hot water leak, which originated on the ninth floor and cascaded down through multiple levels, reaching as far as the third floor. Fortunately, authorities managed to halt the leak and commence repairs within approximately an hour and a half.
This incident adds to a series of technical challenges faced by the hospital, shedding light on issues of neglect within Healthcare in Greece (ΕΣΥ) and the inadequate maintenance of the hospital's infrastructure.
