A member of an international smuggling gang wanted by Interpol for trafficking Latin American fuel products has been apprehended by Greek authorities.
The gang, which operated globally, is believed to have made profits exceeding $21 billion from their illicit activities. The arrested individual, an Italian national, was discovered in a suburb of Athens and was the subject of an Interpol arrest warrant.
