A video has emerged showing a harrowing escape in Patra. The footage depicts a woman jumping from the window of her mezzanine apartment to flee her violent partner, who is heard assaulting her in the video. Alerted by the commotion, neighbors rushed to the scene and helped the woman to safety after she landed on the sidewalk below. The incident reportedly occurred at 4.15 am on Friday morning.
According to local media, police arrived and searched for the man without success. He was later arrested for a traffic violation, but released shortly afterwards. Upon returning to the woman's apartment, he demanded money, prompting another call to the authorities. The man was then arrested for a second time.
This incident tragically coincides with the recent murder of a 28-year-old woman by her ex-partner, moments after leaving a police station.
