The milestone adds Greece as the sixth country where Energiequelle is represented with branches, in addition to Germany, France, Finland, Poland and South Africa, the company said on Wednesday.
Energiequelle has been doing business in Greece for several years. Last November, it appointed Polydoros Pagonis as county manager for the new branch and has since built up “a valuable local network.”
Energiequelle will take advantage of Greece’s efforts to phase out coal by 2028, slash its total greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050. Commenting on the Southern European country’s wind and solar market, Pagonis said: “The country offers very good conditions for the development of renewable energies and will play an important role in the energy transition in Europe in the future.”
Since 2020, Energiequelle has entered three county markets, including South Africa and Poland. The company expects “first project successes in the new countries in the near future.”
