Authorities in Heraklion, Crete, conducted coordinated actions resulting in the arrest of two individuals involved in drug trafficking on Wednesday afternoon. The arrests followed a major police operation targeting the distribution of large quantities of drugs within the city.
The operation led officers to a residence where the suspects were concealing their illegal activities. A thorough search of the premises uncovered a significant quantity of drugs and cash hidden within various household items.
Inside the residence's range hood, officers discovered bundles of cash concealed in nylon packets, pots, and pans. Among the seized items were approximately one kilogram of cocaine and two kilograms of cannabis.
In addition to the drugs, authorities confiscated three precision scales, four mobile phones, handwritten notes, and a sum of €20,120 believed to be proceeds from illegal activities.
The investigation into the case is ongoing under the jurisdiction of the Narcotics Department of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate.
