Deadly Missile Strike Hits ‘Harry Potter Castle’ in Ukraine; Five Dead

A Russian missile strike has targeted a landmark known locally as the ‘Harry Potter Castle’, claiming the lives of at least five individuals and injuring dozens more on Monday, April 29, according to local officials.

Oleh Kiper, the governor of Odesa Oblast, delivered the news on Tuesday morning, confirming the death toll and revealing that 23 individuals were receiving medical treatment as a result of the attack.

Among the injured, eight were listed in critical condition, with four described as being in “extremely serious condition,” including a 4-year-old girl.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a total of 32 people sustained injuries in the attack.

Footage released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine depicted firefighters battling flames at the reception house of the International Humanitarian University, affectionately dubbed the ‘Harry Potter Castle’ by locals.

As of the latest reports, Russian officials had not issued a statement regarding the attack.
