Global hospitality giant Hilton has unveiled plans to dramatically enhance its resort offerings across Europe, with a significant focus on Greece. The company is gearing up to launch 10 new hotels, collectively boasting over 1,500 guest rooms, with three of these properties situated in Greece.

Scheduled to welcome guests just in time for the summer season, Hilton’s forthcoming hotels will fall under its esteemed Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and DoubleTree by Hilton brands.

The decision to concentrate on leisure destinations like Greece stems from a noticeable surge in their popularity in recent years. Reflecting this trend, Hilton reports having inked deals for over 20 resort hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the past year alone. This growth strategy aligns with Hilton’s broader ambition to fortify its portfolio of resort hotels, which has doubled in size over the past five years and now encompasses more than 300 properties worldwide.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton’s Senior Vice President of Development for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, emphasised the increasing demand for top-tier resorts in established international hotspots as well as emerging leisure destinations. He remarked, “With 10 European resort hotels set to open ahead of the summer season, we’re introducing outstanding properties to popular destinations including Ibiza, the Algarve, and Crete, expanding our range of resorts across the region under different brands.”

Among the new additions, Greece will witness the inauguration of three Hilton-affiliated hotels this summer—two on the picturesque island of Crete and one in Agioi Theodoroi.

On Crete, the Numo Ierapetra Beach Resort Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton, situated in the southern region of Ierapetra, will offer 132 beachfront rooms tailored for adults seeking tranquility in a lesser-explored locale.

Also gracing Crete’s shores is the Isla Brown Chania Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 148-room luxury sanctuary in Chania. The hotel, operating under a franchise agreement with Israeli chain Brown Hotels, promises a premium experience for guests.

Further expanding its footprint in Greece is the Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa, a lavish 166-room retreat nestled in Loutraki–Agioi Theodoroi.

These developments complement Hilton’s broader expansion strategy across the Mediterranean, with additional openings planned for this summer in Ibiza, Sardinia, Malta, and Croatia. Furthermore, Hilton has announced the forthcoming debut of Hilton Alvor in Portugal’s Algarve region in 2026.
