Dire Straits Legacy in Athens, Thessaloniki and Crete

They are performing all the greatest hits on a world tour.

Two more Greek cities are added to the Dire Straits Legacy world tour schedule, featuring original members of the legendary band. So, in addition to their scheduled concerts in the Technopolis City of Athens (27/6) and in the Lazaristes Monastery in Thessaloniki (29 & 30/6), two more concerts will take place on July 2nd in Heraklion and on July 4th in Chania.

Almost 40 years after their historic May 1985 concerts at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship in Piraeus, the great compositions of Dire Straits will once again be heard live on Greek soil by the excellent musicians who recorded, toured, and were members of the famous British rock band group that has sold more than 120 million records.

With the blessings of the Knopfler brothers, Dire Straits Legacy is the world's only way to hear the songs of the much-loved band performed live on stage by former band members who make up one of the greatest line-ups ever, tasked with delivering respectfully and in the most perfect way the excellent material that we have all loved.

Dire Straits Legacy consists of original Dire Straits members Alan Clark, Mel Collins, Phil Palmer, Danny Cummings, and Marco Caviglia. Also included are Grammy Award winner Christiano Micalizzi and multi-instrumentalist Primiano Di Biase.

Special guests include the great Steve Walters and John Illsley, who have made selected special appearances and were on production, and fellow Grammy Award winner Trevor Horn.

Their new world tour is dedicated to the memory of the recently deceased Jack Sonni, previously a member of DSL and also the original line-up during the period of the iconic album "Brothers In Arms" and the legendary performance at Live Aid '85.

Drawing on material from six platinum albums, the band's spectacular show includes all the classic Dire Straits hits, including 'Money for Nothing', 'Sultans of Swing', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Walk of Life', 'Brothers in Arms", "Tunnel of Love" etc.
