Quick chicken and kaseri pie in the pan

This easy pie with chicken is prepared in the oven and is ideal as a quick appetiser to accompany your wine in an evening with friends.

Materials

1 Chicken breast, chopped
½ tsp. sweet paprika
extra virgin olive oil
300g Filo pastry
300g finely grated kaseri cheese
some chopped parsley
Salt and Pepper

Procedure

Step 1

Put the chicken strips in a bowl, sprinkle them with paprika, salt and pepper and mix well.

Step 2

Heat 1 tsp. of oil in a medium non-stick frying pan and sauté the chicken strips over medium heat. Carefully empty the contents of the pan onto a plate.

Step 3

In a clean pan and on a medium heat, pour olive oil and place half the amount of filo pastry. Spread the chicken, parsley on top and sprinkle with the kaseri. Cover with the remaining filo sheets and sprinkle the surface of the pie with olive oil.

Step 4

Bake the pie for 5 minutes on each side until the foil takes on colour and becomes crispy; turn it carefully with the help of a plate or the lid of the pan if you have one.

Step 5

Serve the pie warm, cutting it into triangular pieces.
