Chocofretta: How ION's new wafer is changing the world of snacks

How can an idea, a product, or a snack become part of our lives?

Chocofretta is connected with the upbringing of entire generations in Greece because of its taste, characteristic packaging that made it stand out on the shelf, and stable quality over time.

In fact, its birth filled a void and offered an experience that Greeks of every generation wanted to have.

Today, almost half a century later, a new product is coming.

The ION wafer is a snack coming to write its own story. It is light, crunchy, enjoyable, with a familiar, beloved taste, in the right size, in an ideal quantity, that can be eaten everywhere and at all temperatures.

The ION wafer maintains familiar elements of the ION Chocofretta but enriches it with different flavours.

This versatile product can be eaten everywhere and at all temperatures (even in summer), in individual packaging, with relatively few calories and an unbeatable price (suggested retail price €0.30).

It is not one, but two brand-new products. In addition to the wafer with cocoa cream, there is also the wafer with vanilla cream. Here, we have a crispy wafer enriched with cocoa for more chocolate flavour and, in between, the delicious cream with vanilla flavour.

In the red package, the wafer is light in colour, without any coating, while in the yellow package, it is dark in colour due to the addition of cocoa.

Both are a dream, with a crunchy sweet taste that doesn't make you feel tired and a consistency that doesn't melt, an innocent pleasure that lifts your mood and uplifts you.

Undoubtedly, this is a very strong addition to the large ION chocolate family. It is just as modern as every other member but, at the same time, focused on the traditional values that have made the ION chocolate bar the most successful product in its category.
