The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) National Federation recently introduced The Ellinikon, Europe’s largest urban renewal project, to the Australian audience. This historic event marked the first collaborative public activity of HACCI, featuring a series of presentations in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Darwin. These events showcased the remarkable development currently taking shape along the Athens riviera.

The presentations drew nearly 400 attendees, including members of the Hellenic Australian business community, industry leaders, government representatives, prospective investors, and supporters of the Greek Australian community. Hosted in partnership with the Limnios Property Group, the marketing partners for The Ellinikon in Australia, the events highlighted the innovative and sustainable aspects of this transformative AU$13 billion investment.

Andreas Kambanellas, Commercial Director Residential at LAMDA Development S.A., delivered a compelling live-stream presentation from Athens, detailing The Ellinikon’s unique design, advanced use of space, and commitment to environmental sustainability. In Perth, he was joined by Stratos Chalkiadakis, Senior Residential Sales Operations Manager. The presentations emphasized the project’s dedication to recycling existing concrete and other sustainable practices, providing a glimpse into the future of urban living.

Attendees were updated on the development's progress, including the construction of the Ellinikon Riveria Tower, which will be Greece’s tallest building upon completion in 2026. Mr. Kambanellas also fielded questions on various aspects of the project, such as sustainability, construction progress, sales phases, taxation, financing, and property management.

Spanning 620 hectares, The Ellinikon is set to redefine urban development by transforming the former Athens International Airport into a cutting-edge model city. The project will feature an expansive 2 million square meter parkland, high-rise buildings, shopping centers, leisure and entertainment precincts, sports facilities, and a state-of-the-art marina, all designed to create a sustainable urban environment.

Fotini Kypraios, Chair of the HACCI National Federation Council, expressed her pride in presenting The Ellinikon to the Australian Greek community, highlighting its role in fostering bilateral collaboration and strengthening the connection between Greece and its diaspora. Dr. Elena Limnios, President of HACCI WA, praised the project for showcasing the next generation of governance, economic prosperity, and sustainable development in Greece.

James Limnios, Managing Director of Limnios Property Group, underscored the importance of this partnership and emphasized the Group’s commitment to raising awareness of this significant investment opportunity through an innovative marketing campaign.

The HACCI National Federation extends its gratitude to The Ellinikon and Limnios Property Group for their generous support. These events symbolize a significant milestone in the collaboration between the Hellenic Australian business community and global initiatives like The Ellinikon.
