Scorpios Mykonos opens €3,000-a-night hotel in Bodrum, Turkey

Nestled along the Aegean Sea coastline, Scorpios Bodrum aspires to become one of the most sought-after destinations for travellers by blending luxury, tradition, and natural beauty.

This secluded space, inspired by Scorpios Mykonos, aspires to offer a beach experience that is currently not offered in Turkey.

Scorpios Mykonos opened as a hotel in Bodrum at €3,000 a night, which will open this month on a prime stretch of the Turkish coastline, reported New Money.

A long history of success

Scorpios Mykonos was founded in 2015 by Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel and is known for its parties with international DJs and local artists.

Opening in June, Scorpios Bodrum is located on a peninsula jutting out into the Aegean Sea, a 30-minute drive north of the city of Bodrum - a city steeped in Greek history and renowned for its picturesque landscapes.

Scorpios Bodrum takes full advantage of this setting, offering panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and wild coastline.

At the highest point of the small peninsula are 12 impressive guest villas, each designed to face the sea, with outdoor terraces, rustic stone walls and wooden pergolas.

Istanbul-based architecture firm Geomim, Berlin-based interior design firms Lambs and Lions and Studio MacBride, and designer Annabell Kutucu collaborated on the project, evolving the aesthetics of Mykonos.

An emphasis on natural materials, including wooden furniture and panelling, textured plaster walls, linen fabrics and woven carpets, is intended to contribute to the hotel's relaxed atmosphere. The 12 suites feature private pools and large outdoor spaces.

The hotel's beachfront restaurant, with indoor and outdoor dining, is designed with the same earthy materials as the bungalows.

Scorpios Bodrum is also home to a multi-purpose space the team describes as a "modern temple," known as The Ritual Space.

According to the group, the temple will host its own unique cultural program around wellness, featuring ancient and contemporary mind-body practices and performances at the intersection of art, music, technology and mindfulness.

Gastronomy & Cultural Experiences

At the heart of the Scorpios Bodrum experience are its culinary offerings. The restaurant's menu features Mediterranean dishes, with an emphasis on local ingredients and a variety of seafood.

The brand-new hotel has also planned a range of live events, from art exhibitions to wellness workshops and traditional Turkish ceremonies.

Hotel accommodation is at 3,000 euros per night.
