Houthi Attack on Greek Cargo Ship Claims Life of Crew Member

Tragedy struck a Greek-owned cargo ship on Wednesday after a Houthi attack in the Red Sea. One crew member aboard the "Tutor" lost their life during the incident, according to reports on Thursday.

The Liberian-flagged vessel, owned by Evalend Shipping, was struck by a drone-boat 68 miles southwest of Hudaydah, a Yemeni port controlled by the Houthis. The ship's destination was India.

Details surrounding the seafarer's death remain unclear. It's unknown if they perished from the initial attack or during the subsequent flooding of the engine room. Evalend Shipping has reportedly notified Greek authorities of the fatality. The heavily damaged "Tutor" is currently undergoing salvage operations.
