A 24-year-old man, known by the alias "Trannos", was arrested overnight in the northwestern suburb of Kamatero for illegal firearm possession.
During an inspection, police discovered that the suspect was in possession of a 9MM Grand Power pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
The local police station has launched an investigation into the incident.
The suspect's real name is Christos Stasinopoulos, and it has been revealed that he was previously arrested in 2022 for violating gun possession laws.
