A 25-year-old Dutch tourist was arrested upon landing at Kos Airport in Greece after vaping on a Transavia flight. The man ignored repeated warnings from the crew to stop.

Transavia confirmed the incident and emphasized its strict no-smoking policy, including e-cigarettes. They explained the safety hazards of smoking on board, citing potential fire alarms and passenger safety concerns.

According to Transavia, this incident is uncommon, as most passengers are aware of the smoking ban. Vaping or smoking on aeroplanes can lead to fines or even criminal charges, with potential penalties reaching thousands of euros in some countries, including Greece.

The exact fine imposed on the Dutchman remains unknown, but he has been released. Greek authorities were unavailable for comment.
