3 Pakistanis arrested for horrific robbery, rape of Vietnamese couple in Achaea

Share

Three Pakistanis residing in Apideon village, Achaea, were arrested for robbing a Vietnamese couple and raping the woman in Lappa a few days ago.

The victims identified the perpetrators, aged between 20 and 30, and the vehicle they used. According to Pelop, the accused deny the charges brought against them.

It is alleged that the three Pakistanis took the 37-year-old man and his 38-year-old girlfriend – Vietnamese nationals – to a deserted rural location between Apideonas and Lappa and, after beating them, they stole 450 euros and their mobile phones.

Not satisfied with the robbery, they raped the woman and then fled the scene, abandoning the couple.

The couple was spotted last Tuesday morning (18/6) by residents of Lappa, who saw the man and the woman with obvious signs of abuse and notified the police. They were taken to the General State Hospital of Patras "Agios Andreas" and a forensic examination confirmed that the woman was raped.
