Greek Port Authorities Rescue 77 Migrants from Troubled Sailboat, Transport to Naxos

Port Authorities successfully rescued 77 migrants from a distressed sailboat in the Aegean Sea, between the islands of Amorgos and Astypalea, following an emergency call.

The rescue operation was initiated after a passenger aboard the sailboat dialed the European emergency number 112, reporting mechanical issues. Responding swiftly, Port Authority boats and a tanker were dispatched to the location.

The migrants were safely transported to the port of Naxos, where they are receiving necessary assistance.
