Deadly Clashes Erupt in Greece's Maximum Security Korydallos Prison

Clashes broke out between inmates in the 4th wing of Korydallos Prison on Wednesday, resulting in the death of one prisoner and the injury of another.

Authorities are investigating the incident, which involved Albanian nationals.

The violent altercation began shortly after 1:00 PM. According to police, a 35-year-old Albanian man was killed, and a 45-year-old inmate from Kosovo was injured and transported to the hospital.

The Attica Security Directorate has launched an investigation to determine the causes of the conflict in this maximum-security facility near Athens, where prisoners serving long sentences are housed.
