British National Found Dead in Spetses

A 44-year-old British national was discovered dead at the old port of Spetses on Friday morning, according to the state-run news agency AMNA.

Authorities reported that the man had sustained injuries on the left side of his head. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, and his body will be transferred to Piraeus this afternoon.

The deceased was a crew member of a sailing boat participating in the Classic Regatta currently underway on the island. The exact location of the discovery remains unclear, with some media reports indicating that the body was spotted by the crew of a passing sailboat, who then notified port authorities.
