Dimitris Kokotas Remains Hospitalized: Matina Pagoni Provides Health Update

Matina Pagoni provided an update on Dimitris Kokotas's health during an appearance on the television program "Two at 10," addressing the singer's condition following a heart attack in late March.

The president of EINAP emphasized the individuality of each patient's recovery process, stating, “Every organism is different, and each reacts differently. We cannot predict the exact course of recovery for any disease. Every case evolves uniquely. I believe Dimitris needs time and patience, especially for his family. Having a loved one hospitalized for months is incredibly difficult."

Pagoni highlighted the challenges faced by families with loved ones in medical facilities: "Relatives with loved ones in various hospital units, even in regular beds, understand that it's not easy. The constant visits, witnessing their loved one in a vulnerable state, and the waiting take a toll."

Addressing the possibility of Kokotas's release, Pagoni confirmed that the singer is not yet ready. "Dimitris is currently unable to return home or transfer to a rehabilitation center. He will remain hospitalized under the care of his medical team. They will continue to monitor his progress, conduct necessary tests, and determine the appropriate time for his release."

The 55-year-old singer suffered a heart attack on March 28th while rehearsing with actress Traiana Anania for the TV singing competition J2US. He was immediately transported to Gennimatas hospital, where he has remained under medical care.
