New 4.6 Richter earthquake south of Heraklion

A new earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck in the sea south of Heraklion, less than an hour after a previous tremor measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale.

Specifically, the epicenter was located 30 km south of Heraklion, and the focal depth was estimated at 6.8 km. This second earthquake, occurring within a short time, was felt mainly along the southern coast.

So far, no problems have been reported.
