Psychiko Murder Investigation: Perpetrator Rehearsed Attack on Panagiotis Stathis Day Before Fatal Shooting

The investigation into the brutal murder of Panagiotis Stathis on Tuesday morning (07/02/2024) in Psychiko is progressing intensively.

According to a report from Mega, the police possess video evidence of both the murder of Panagiotis Stathis in Psychiko and a rehearsal conducted by the perpetrator 24 hours earlier.

The movements of the perpetrator indicate that a rehearsal had indeed taken place before the killing of 54-year-old Panagiotis Stathis.

Specifically, at approximately 7 am on Tuesday (07/02/2024), just 90 minutes before the murder, the assailant was observed at the victim's place of business with his black motorcycle.

Similar events occurred the previous day in the early morning hours, as evidenced by police review of video footage. However, certain aspects of this crime have left a strong impression on law enforcement. One notable detail is the meticulous planning evident in the assassination.

In particular, officers noted that even the inspection stamp (KTEO) on the fake license plate affixed to the perpetrator's vehicle was meticulously replicated.

Timeline of the murder

The deadly attack occurred in a highly central location in Psychiko on Tuesday morning (02/07/2024) when an unidentified individual approached and fatally shot 54-year-old Panagiotis Stathis, a surveyor active in Mykonos.

Stathis was in his car when a helmeted man on a small motorcycle approached and fired multiple rounds from a 9mm pistol before fleeing the scene.

More than 20 shell casings were recovered, and police are baffled by the assailant's disregard for the numerous surveillance cameras in the area.
