Greece Selects Giannis Antetokounmpo and Antigoni Ntrismpioti as Flag Bearers for Paris Olympics

Basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and race walking champion Antigoni Ntrismpioti will lead the Greek delegation as flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. The Greek Olympic Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of the duo.

Several other prominent Greek athletes were considered for the honor, including tennis star Maria Sakkari, swimmer Evangelia Platanioti, and water polo player Margarita Plevritou. Long jumper Miltos Tentoglou and pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi, both medal hopefuls, opted out of consideration to prioritize their training schedules leading up to the games.
