Athens, Greece – A shocking incident of family violence unfolded in Victoria Square on Sunday morning, leaving a man hospitalized after being attacked by his own father-in-law.
Shortly after 9:00 am, a heated argument erupted between a man and his son-in-law for reasons yet unknown. The situation quickly escalated as the father-in-law drew a gun and fired shots into the air, causing panic among bystanders.
Disturbing video footage obtained by STAR news shows the father-in-law, aided by another man, physically assaulting his son-in-law. The attack culminated in the son-in-law being thrown to the ground and repeatedly struck with the gun while also being kicked.
The brutal assault left the victim injured and requiring medical attention. He was transported to Gennimatas Hospital for treatment.
Following the attack, the father-in-law and his accomplice fled the scene and are currently being sought by authorities.
