Kasselakis Focuses on Direct Citizen Engagement for SYRIZA

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis plans to continue his direct engagement with citizens following a successful recent event at the party's offices, where around 500 people met with him.

This initiative aims to present a more outward-looking image of the party, contrasting with the internal conflicts among its leadership.

Kasselakis emphasised the importance of these discussions, saying, "Quality over quantity in these discussions." He is seeking to build member support ahead of the party congress scheduled for October 4-6, amidst organised internal opposition.

Additionally, Kasselakis is addressing financial challenges within the party. He personally contributed €20,000 at the recent Central Committee meeting, while the 300 members collectively contributed €7,000. The next citizen meeting is set for this week as part of the ongoing efforts to open up the party.
