SYRIZA Deputy Yannis Dragasakis Announces Departure from Party

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance deputy Yannis Dragasakis has announced his departure from the party, citing fundamental disagreements with its current direction under leader Stefanos Kasselakis.

Dragasakis expressed his unwillingness to remain "trapped" in a party that no longer aligns with the SYRIZA he once served. He criticised Kasselakis, stating that "it is extremely difficult to remain in a party where the concept of democracy and the Left, as well as the history of the party itself, are undermined, and the only accepted norm is the often unclear and changeable intention of the leader."
