Greece has pledged its support to Ukrainian children impacted by the war, announcing its membership in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
The move, formalised on Wednesday, signifies Greece’s commitment to international efforts aimed at securing the safe return of Ukrainian children who have been forcibly displaced or deported by Russian forces. A statement from the Greek Foreign Ministry emphasises the country’s dedication to upholding international law and child protection principles, alongside its international partners.
Beyond membership, Greece has expressed its intent to actively contribute to the coalition’s efforts. This includes providing humanitarian, medical, and psychological assistance to children and families suffering under the weight of deportation and forced displacement.
