After winning two successive titles, Manisha Kalyan ended her stint with Cyprus club Apollon Ladies FC. She scored eight goals in the team’s title-winning run last season and 14 goals in 36 appearances.
Kalyan also attained the distinction of being the only Indian player – men or women – to have ever played in the UEFA Champions League last year, donning the Apollon Ladies FC jersey.
Before going to Cyprus, Kalyan had won two Indian Women’s League titles with Gokulam Kerala FC. She scored 21 goals in 24 matches for the domestic giants.
She also scored in the 2021 AFC Women’s Club Competition against FC Bunyodkor, making her the first woman player from India to score in a top-flight Asian competition.
Known for her creativity and physicality, Kalyan is a versatile player who can attack, operate on the wings, and even play as a number nine.
